John Gunn

Mr. Gunn graduated from Stanford University in 1966 and received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1972. He joined Dodge & Cox in 1972. Between December 31, 2000 and December 31, 2005, the Dodge & Cox Stock Fund returned an annualized 11.0% versus 0.5% for the S&P 500. Over that period, assets in the Fund grew from $5.7 billion to $52.2 billion. As of September 30, 2006, Dodge & Cox manages $130.4 billion of equity assets.
Mr. Gunn is a member of Dodge & Cox’s Investment Policy Committee, Fixed Income Strategy Committee, and International Investment Policy Committee. He is a Trustee of the Dodge & Cox Funds. Mr. Gunn is a shareholder of the firm, a CFA(r) charterholder, and a Chartered Investment Counselor. Mr. Gunn was a member of the Board of Governors of AIMR from 1993 to 1996 and also served on Governor Pete Wilson’s Council of Economic Advisors from 1993 to 1998. He is currently Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Castilleja School.
