Abhishek is an Associate for The Blackstone Group. At Blackstone, Abhishek is responsible for raising a new investment fund product of India and greater Asia. He also evaluates companies and management for potential investment. Prior to Blackstone, Abhishek was an investment professional at ICICI Venture Fund Management located in Mumbai, India (the largest and oldest domestic private equity fund in India). At ICICI, Abhishek worked with entrepreneurs and performed company due diligence on high-growth companies in India. Abhishek worked on developing the growth strategy for Tech Process Ltd, the largest electronic payment transaction website in India and a growth capital investment in Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank, mid-size bank in South India.

Prior to ICICI Venture, Abhishek worked at Bain Private Equity Group, where he evaluated investment opportunities for Private Equity clients. In total, Abhishek evaluated over fifteen investments during his tenure. He evaluated companies in consumer products, wireless, telecom equipment, retail, etc. At Bain, he also worked in a consulting capacity dealing with strategic and operational issues facing C-level general managers for products in large media conglomerates, telecommunications, and consumer electronics industries. Abhishek started his career at Goldman Sachs in the high technology investment banking division. Abhishek received his Bachelors degree from University of Southern California and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
