F. William McNabb III is managing director of Vanguard’s Institutional Investor Group. He is responsible for ongoing service and business development for all of Vanguard’s institutional clients. Mr. McNabb joined Vanguard in 1986, was named managing director in 1995, and assumed his current responsibilities in 2006.

Mr. McNabb is very active in the investment management industry, having testified before the U.S. Department of Labor as well as the U.S. House of Representatives. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the Employee Benefit Research Institute.

Mr. McNabb received an A.B. in government from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
