David A. Antonelli

David A. Antonelli is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of non-U.S. and global equity investments for MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). He also is a member of the firm's Management Committee and serves as co-director of global research. As of March 31, 2008, MFS managed more than $184 billion in assets for over five million investors worldwide.

David assumed his current position in May 2006. He previously served as Chief Equity Officer and Director of Global Equity Research from 2002 to 2006. In these roles, he had oversight of the research, portfolio management, quantitative analysis, and trading functions within MFS' equity department. He also serves as portfolio manager for MFS® International New Discovery Fund, which he has managed since 1997. Prior to these positions, David was Senior Vice President and Director of International Equity Research from 1999 to 2002. He was named Vice President in 1995, and has served as portfolio manager of several MFS equity funds. David joined MFS in 1991 as a foreign-stock research analyst, with a concentration in continental Europe.

David received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University in 1981, and earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1991.
